Martin Johnson & Co are proud to be sole distributors of Collins Curve – a kiln-distorted toughened glass suitable for all heritage restoration work. Patent No. GB 2477094
Using new kiln technologies, we have created a glass which incorporates the heritage characteristics of traditional Crown and Cylinder glass, and is toughened to meet Impact Class A (BS 6206) and Class 1 (BS EN 12600)
This cost-effective high-performance glass is available in 4mm, 8mm and 10mm and up to a maximum pane size of 960 x 2140mm. It can be single-glazed or incorporated into a double-glazed unit, and allows Architects and Conservation Officers to create building regulation-compliant glazing elements that offer a heritage-sympathetic reflective surface.
In its annealed or toughened forms it can be laminated, so that in the event of a breakage the pieces of glass are held in place, affording the utmost protection. It is ideal for use in public buildings.
