A Post-Conservation Report forms an archival record of a window at a particular time. It aims to provide important documentation about the work done and by whom, what materials were added, what intervention took place, and where appropriate the reasons behind conservation decisions taken. It may be used to inform future maintenance and treatment of the window, and can also be a requirement of funding providers.
Such documents are prepared by the conservator who has completed the work, and should follow specific guidelines. They should be stored by the recipient for future reference.
